The Floating Heroes Campaign

Once upon a time in New York City...

 

Disasters happen all the time, and New York seems to have more than its share of them. Fortunately, the Big Apple also has its fair share of heroes. And on this occasion, it needed every single one of them.

 

Nobody knows exactly how it started, but one afternoon, the city was almost overrun by strange, alien beings. Hundreds of thousands of lives hung in the balance. Fortunately, the heroes were quick to respond. The crisis brought out the city's finest--the League of Justice, the Fantastic Family, Doctor Destiny, Spiderella, and more. And when the day was done and the city was saved, the heroes all went their separate ways.

 

All, that is, except for one small group of heroes. They were unknown and relatively inexperienced. But they knew they had made a difference that day, and they knew the city would need them again. So they exchanged contact information and made a loose pact, vowing to be there for the people of New York when nobody else could be.

 

This is their story.

Adventure one - During the Invastion

Roll Call - Everyone.

During an attempted alien invasion, an UNTIL aircar is shot down over Central Park. Upon investigation, a ragtag group of heroes arrives just in time to see a self-styled conqueror execute the one surviving UNTIL agent and try to get away with a briefcase. The heroes listen to this guy's rhetoric about how metahumans should be running the world, then beat him down. Alas, he escapes from UNTIL custody before they can get him to a really secure location.

 

The Opposition:

Doctor Halo An arrogant guy with a wide array of light-based powers.

 

 

Adventure two - Exploits at the bank

Roll Call: Thunderbird, Shadowolf, Buddy

XP - 4

Shadowolf and Buddy were in a bank, in secret ID, to make deposits when it was attacked. Thunderbird was outside, and came up. There were 4 dastardly villians. When facing the end brick, Shadowolf borrowed Buddy's Staff. He asked him to make him one.

 

The Opposition:

Group: The Four

Speedy (Leader) Master archer with numerous trick arrows, and some magic ability.

Mirage Mentalist Illusions mainly yet some other varieties

Zip Speedster

Rock Brick with some other rock abilities

 

 

 

Adventure Three - Old Friends and Family

Roll Call: Thunderbird, Shadowolf,

XP - 3

A number of strange people attended Thunderbird's Tai Ch;i in teh Park Class. At the end of the class Ninja's attacked. Flicker was called to heal some people. They were the Hand. It turns out that an old war friend of Eric's was the father of a teammate (Flicker).

The Opposition:

Group: The Hand

Hand Ninja - a ninja. Fairly tough.

 

Adventure Four - Chaos at the Research Center

Roll Call: Thunderbird, Shadowolf, John Doe, Epic, Flicker

XP - 3

There was a call on a police band about Supervillians attacking the College. The team moves in to investigate. There were four of them. The team beat them up, and kept them from getting any of the material they were after. Onyx showed up at the end of the fight.

The Opposition:

Group: unnamed

Cold Snap - Team leader and cold-powered cyborg. Bodysuit that fades from blue on top to white below.

Lodestone - Wielder of magnetism and the team's lone female. Gold costume in a practical cut.

Relámpago - Thrower of lightning. Black pants, boots gloves and mask with gold belt and bracers. A large, Aztec-looking stormburst tattoo covers his chest.

Basher - Disgraced former superhero Valiant; the team brick. Red costume with black trunks, gloves, boots, and hood. Big black letter B on his chest.

 

Adventure Four - Threat to the Synagog

Roll Call: Thunderbird, Shadowolf, John Doe, Buddy

XP - 3

The heroes get a call about some Arab looking terrorists trying to bomb a synagog. They show up and Buddy built a device to block radio signals so the explosives could not be detonated remoetly. JD encases pretty much everything in sight with ice. . Stops most of the terrorists cold. A few blow up when knocked out. John starts looking like the Snow Mizer and singing his song dancing on the ice. Thunderbird and Shadowolf move inside the building to check, find one guy that is a problem, and take him down. Then the dragon shows up, getting ready to breathe into the building. Shadowolf teleports into it's throat to stop it breathing, and calls out for someone to toss him some of the C4 that the terrorists were going to blow the building up, and tossess it down the gullet. It goes off, and 'Wolf is knocked out by the explosion. JD catches him, and while the team beats on the dragon, JD and 'Wolf do the trick again and knock him out.

Group: random terrorists

Terrorists Suicide bombers

Dragon Terrorist with a magic ring that transformed him into a dragon.

 

Adventure Five - Knocking Down the Tower

Roll Call: Thunderbird, Flicker, Onyx, Buddy

XP - 1 +
